We hope you're doing well and ready to roast your exams, because we are just waiting for you all to be done and have you at our many upcoming events!

This message is in regards to the upcoming Ghadeer Banquet and our annual Ashura Awareness Campaign.  The first one is a rather formal gathering of all the TMA chapters and the Thaqalayn community of the GTA at a Banquet Hall to celebrate the Eid of Ghadeer, the auspicious day when was revealed the "Hadith-e-Thaqalayn". The latter one is a week-long event (from Monday January 12th to Friday January 16th) held on campus to commemorate and spread knowledge on the events in Karbala surrounding the martyrdom of Hussain (A.S.), as well as his universal message and its implications in the world today.

We are currently recruiting volunteers for both occasions:

-At the Ghadeer Banquet, assist us in organizing the logistics of the reception, and that would include ticket sales, ushering, decoration and survey designs. There will be a short meeting with all the volunteers and the executives involved to explain the set of guidelines to follow and to present the expectations to be met.
-At the Ashura Awareness Campaign, we wish to involve volunteers to be present at our tabling sessions which will be held at various locations on campus. Responsibilities include distributing fliers and cards, engaging passers-by in discussion, answering any questions that they may have, as well as selling tickets to the Ashura Awareness Symposium, which will be held on Friday January 16th.

Volunteers will receive necessary training in a session on January 10th 2009 that will be spearheaded by Sheikh Ammar Nakshwani.
